Signs of a Professional Makeup Artist

Recently, I had the pleasure of working with one of my precious bridal beauties to test the proper looks for her BIG day!
During our initial conversation, she had many questions about proper application, products, and longevity of the look...

After our in-depth consultation (basically, I will ask you EVERYTHING possible about your special day), I discovered she recently had a very negative encounter with another "makeup-artist!"....please read on!

Please know that when hiring any professional, that they truly are a professional!

Signs of a TRUE, PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP ARTIST:

*The professional will have all of the necessary products to complete the exact look you are desiring!
*The professional may have a few tried and try drugstore brands in their kit (I carry only 3 items that can be purchased at CVS), but the kit will only include the finest in cosmetics!
*Ask your makeup artist when they last executed a professional training and continuing education class?! (This will give huge insight)
*During your consultation, are they taking notes?! I could never remember all of the details from every bride! Having those notes are such a valuable resource!

If you are ever asked to bring your OWN foundation, to provide your OWN lashes, or anything else....RUN THE OTHER WAY!

Hiring a professional makeup artist can be pricey, but please know that you are paying for the QUALITY OF PRODUCT, CONSISTENT EDUCATION, and A KIT (or in my case 4 kits) to have all of the necessary goodies!
